Career path

What did you do before you joined Thuasne®?

Marcela: After graduating I started out as a textile engineer at Tricoul Rosu Arad. I then took up the position of Production Manager in a German company before joining Hannes GSC Romania, where I gained almost 19 years of experience. My responsibilities involved quality management, operations and working within the technical department. I joined Thuasne® in 2020 as Production Manager in phlebology. I wanted to work in a field with a significant impact on people's health and well-being to improve their quality of life.

Rodica: After graduating, I started out at Tricoul Rosu, then worked in German and French companies, acquiring a diversified experience in the textile sector. My career path brought me to Textile Medicale in 2012. I had heard good things about Thuasne®, being a stable group, working to better the health and well-being of a number of populations. So I became Production Manager in traumatology there.

What are you currently tasked with within the Group?

Marcela: I supervise the implementation of programmes by mobilising the necessary resources and ensuring coordination of teams to reach the set objectives, while guaranteeing quality customer service.

Rodica: I manage sector operations by adapting capabilities, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, by analysing indicators and by setting up action plans to maintain operational efficiency.

How did you manage to adjust to how a French company operates?

Marcela: I did not have any significant difficulties adjusting to the Group's requirements, even if my current area of work has been and remains a major challenge for me.

Rodica: I was able to adapt to the system put in place by Thuasne® and improve my skills in French to communicate better. This made it easier for me to integrate the team and to contribute to the company's objectives.

What are your main challenges today?

Marcela: I could say that my main challenges today are to adapt material and human resources to the various changes underway, to develop a new activity and to reach set objectives.

Rodica: Mine are to ensure production capacities, to ensure the personnel remains flexible and versatile, to digitalise and further our technologies and finally to increase productivity.

Do you have something to add to close this interview?

towards the end of my career.
